The FCC has issued a host of new regulations that detail the rules for faxing information to members. There’s much to be understood in the regulations, but the primary point is that associations can only send certain faxes to members who have given written authorization to the association. Within AMPAC’s Member Master data entry screen, options are available to collect the information necessary on each member to designate who is eligible for faxes. There is also an option to maintain a mailing code in the Mail Assignment file for tracking the authorizations received from members. Based on either one of these flags, a fax blast list can be generated of the members with authorization on file.
